Terms of use

Last updated: 2026.

1. What you are agreeing to

By using MetroWages you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

2. The data and its limits

All wage and employment figures are published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics as part of the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey. They are statistical estimates of what employers pay, subject to sampling error, and they are not adjusted for local cost of living. They describe a market, not any individual's pay, and they are not a promise, offer, or guarantee of any wage.

This site is not career, financial, legal, or immigration advice. Do not make a relocation, salary negotiation, or hiring decision on the basis of these figures alone.

3. No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy. While the pipeline is built to reproduce the source tables exactly, we do not warrant that any page is free of error.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetroWages is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on any figure published on it.

5. Source data and licensing

BLS data is a work of the U.S. federal government and is in the public domain. The site's presentation, its derived benchmarks, its generated page structure, and its written explanations are the property of MetroWages. You may quote figures with attribution to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and you may link to any page.

Automated bulk scraping of the full page set is not permitted without written consent. If you need the underlying data in bulk, download it directly from BLS — it is free and it is the primary source.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or republish substantial portions of it as your own product.

7. Independence

MetroWages is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by the Bureau of Labor Statistics or the U.S. Department of Labor.

8. Changes

These terms may be revised. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of it.
